How many people can you fit in one mini-van? Well, if it’s Cambodians doing the logistics…A LOT.
Two hours wedged into a jam-packed mini-van, followed by a bus, a short walk across the border, another bus and a wooden boat, and we made it to Don Khon. Our two days there extended into nearly a week before we even noticed. Time flies when you’re swinging in a hammock.
Waterfalls, forest walks, torrential rain and baking sun. Our 6 days on the banks of the Mekong river drifted by happily - and it was a struggle to leave.
Literally, a real struggle. We had to wait over two hours for a bus… Nothing in Laos PDR happens quickly. But that’s why I love it!
